Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships and Drug Action Teams Integration/Closer Working.
The Home Office has issued guidance to partnerships in November 2003 on DAT/CDRP integration/closer working. The guidance outlines what measures CDRPs and DATs should be taking to integrate or work more closely together. It:
confirms what is expected of partnerships in unitary/metropolitan and two-tier authorities;
specifies the minimum criteria for integration/closing working;
outlines the benefits of integration/closer working;
clarifies the impact of integration on partnerships’ staffing structures;
provides advice about joint funding arrangements;
explains the role of the Government Office Drugs Teams and Crime Reduction Teams;
outlines the process and timetable for action;
provides examples of good practice in the form of case studies.
The guidance has been developed jointly by the Crime Reduction Delivery Team and Partnerships and Regions Drugs Unit, and with considerable input from practitioners and colleagues in the Crime and Drugs Teams in the Government Offices.
A copy of the guidance and all supporting documents are now available
Should you have any further queries, please contact the Crime and Drugs Teams in
