Fraud and technology crime: Findings
This report presents the latest findings of the 2003/04 British Crime Survey (BCS) and the 2004 Offending, Crime and Justice Survey (OCJS), on fraud and technology crime. The results provide alternative measures to police and administrative data on these crimes as they cover incidents that may not have been reported to the authorities. In addition, it provides more detailed information about fraud from data available from non-police sources and updates earlier published data.

Crime against retail and manufacturing premises: findings from the 2002 Commercial Victimisation Survey
The Home Office published a report on the findings from the 2002 Commercial Victimisation Survey (CVS) on 28th July 2005. This is the first Government national survey of crime against manufacturers and retailers in England and Wales since 1994. The survey is important as it gives us a clearer picture of the levels and types of crime suffered by businesses. It follows a summary report published in November 2004.
Understanding taxi robberies
This report - from the COPS series by the US Department of Justice - describes the problem of taxi robbery and reviews factors that increase the risks of robbery of taxi drivers. The guide then identifies a series of questions that might assist you in analyzing your local taxi robbery problem. Finally, the guide reviews responses to the problem and what is known about these from evaluative research and police practice.

University student safety in the East Midlands
This report highlights the key research findings from the study of victimisation of university students at 9 universities in the East Midlands, undertaken in 2002. Areas highlighted include safety issues and targeting crime prevention efforts. This report is an update on Findings 194 (Barberet et al, 2003) published in April 2003 and provides results for a further 2 universities in the East Midlands.

This report by the Association of Convenience Stores aims to give you the tools and information to tackle crime in local shops. To do so it creates greater awareness of the extent and causes of retail crime and highlights ways to protect people, cash, stock and buildings.
The role of education in enhancing life chances and preventing offending
This Home Office research report looked at ways of handling problem behaviour amongst children and young people in schools. It found a list of key factors which appear consistently to improve interventions and work with children and young people. These include: ensuring that pupils are treated equitably and with respect; establishing a positive working environment; atmosphere and ethos; working with parents in a co-operative and equal partnership.
Crimes Against Students: Emerging lessons for reducing student victimisation
This Research and Development Statistics Directorate (RDS) report provides some emerging guidance to practitioners working with students, including those working in universities (e.g. student welfare, student unions, security departments, and accommodation offices), the police, and Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships (CDRPs).
